What platforms does IG Client run on?¶
The app is available for Windows only. Linux and macOS versions are currently in the works.
How do I install the Indiegala Client?¶
Download and run the Indiegala Client installer from IndieGala.
Make sure you have the administrator permissions required on the device which you would like to install the Indiegala Client on.
You will need a minimum of 300 MB of disk space for the installation.
Once you start the installation the process is automatic. You can change default install path if you wish.

How do I uninstall/remove the Indiegala Client?¶
Make sure the IG Client is closed first.
Head to “Control PanelProgramsPrograms and Features”. Alternatively, you may open Start and search for “Add or remove programs”.
Search for “IGClient” and then press Uninstall.
If you encounter any inconvenience with the uninstallation process please contact our Technical Support or check our Forums.
In case you wish to keep the game installations, make sure to not remove the IGClients Folder.
Running Indiegala Client¶
Once the installation has been successfully completed, you should find a desktop shortcut named IGClient. Alternatively, you may open Start and search for “IGClient”.
Once you open it for the first time, an automatic update process will make sure that you will be running the latest version of the Indiegala Client.
Once the update is complete, you may close the notification and proceed to the next step: logging in your Indiegala account. Once the correct information was inserted, you may press the “Login” button.
Important
an Internet connection is required.
If you do not have an Indiegala account yet, you may create one for free by clicking on the “Signup now” text or by going to Indiegala SignupPage.

A valid email address will be required.
Important
if you signed up using an external provider authentication ( eg.: Facebook or Google ) you will need to acess your Library and set a password in the account preferences in order to login via IGClient.
If you forgot or lost your password, you may reset your password by simply clicking on the “Password reset” text or by going to Login page.
Important
make sure your Caps Lock isn’t on when attempting to type the password
Danger
Keep in mind you should avoid sharing your password with anyone and that Indiegala employees will never ask for your password when assisting you.
Where is my password?¶
If you lost your password you can Recover it clicking on the “forgot your password” link.
if you never set a password on Indiegala, because you signed up using an external provider authentication ( eg.: Facebook or Google ) you will need to acess your Library and set a password in the account preferences in order to login via IGClient. Access your Library then go to “Wallet & Settings” >> “Account” section and set a password.
Adding New Freebies to your Library¶
By visiting the “Freebies & More” section of the Indiegala Client you may browse and find freebies & showcase elements that may be added to your profile library.
Navigate the pages until you find the title you are looking for. You may even filter the selection to display only titles that were not added yet to your library yet.
Once you have found a title that you are interested in, select it and then press the Add to Collection button. As a result the title was added to your Indiegala Profile Library.
Downloading & Installing from your Library¶
By visiting the “Library” section of the Indiegala Client you may browse and find previously added freebies & showcase elements to your profile library.
By typing in the search text box you may browse for specific titles in your library. By selecting the “Installed” filter, you will be able to display the locally installed titles from your library.
Once you have decided which title to download & install, select it from the library list by clicking on its respective icon. This will take you to a separate info page.
From this point you may click the “Install” button to begin the download & installation process.
Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements mentioned in the notification window.
When you are ready to proceed, you may press the “Continue” button. That will start the downloading & installation process. Please be patient for it to complete. The completion time of this task is mainly dependent on the download speed and the size of the selected title.
You may queue multiple downloads in a row by repeating the previously mentioned steps.To pause or cancel an ongoing download, please visit the “Downloads” section of the Indiegala Client.
Once the progress bar reaches 100%, the download and installation process will be complete, and your game will be ready to be opened. Simply press the button “Play”.

Changing the default installation folder location¶
By default the download/installation path is set to “C:/IGClientGames”, however that may be modified from the “Settings” section to a new installation location. Make sure you have sufficient disk space for your downloads. .. image:: ../images/default.jpg
Removing installed library elements from drive¶
To uninstall (remove from your disk drive) a library element visit the Library section and filter the installed titles. Select the one you wish to remove and then press the “Uninstall” button. .. image:: ../images/play.jpg
